Actually, it was the fall of 2002 that the 3 of us, Mark, Kevin , and Gus, decided that enough was enough. Tired of waiting for the telcos to finally deliver reasonable DSL service to us out in the "boonies", we went and got a T1 service through a local provider.
3 Guys Online is located in the suburbs of Washington DC. We are all current professionals in the Information Technology (IT) field. Our skills range from desktop software and operating systems to enterprise network operations and management to network security. We're not a company (yet), just friends that had the urge to put our ideas online for the world to see.

| Mark started this whole thing because the company he worked for had gone under (one of those dreaded .com failures). Because he was determined to keep the mail server on-line, he needed to move the DSL service from the existing office location. However, DSL is not available where he lives. | Kevin has wanted to get DSL since buying his house 2 years ago. However, it's not available where he lives, and cable service was pretty much right out as well. Now, commercial web hosting was an alternative, but nobody hosting email is willing to go that extra yard to eliminate that dastardly spam. However, if you own it, you can do any damn thing you want. You spam us, we bill you back! | Gus just needed a place to house the web site for his movie project. He had somehow managed to scam his previous employer into letting him host it on the company's web server (DNS service and all). However, he's not worked there in many years now, but has not found a place to keep the site. |
